The San Diego User Group Meeting (UGM) is a one-day event intended for those new to organ-chip technology as well as seasoned Emulate technology users. This highly informative series of scientific sessions will feature keynote presentations by leading researchers, expert panels, and networking opportunities with peers.

Covid Guidelines

  • As safety is our top priority, in-person attendance of our User Group Meeting will be open to fully vaccinated participants only. “Fully vaccinated” means it has been two weeks since receiving either 1) both doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or 2) the single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. While not mandatory, it is strongly recommended that in-person attendees have also received a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot.
  • Consistent with CDC guidance, we will require all attendees to wear masks while indoors. Disposable masks will be made available to attendees. We will monitor guidelines as it gets closer to the event and shift accordingly.
  • If you are feeling ill, have a temperature, or are showing any potential symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive for COVID-19, or have been in close contact with anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of the event then we request that you do not attend the User Group Meeting in-person.
  • Seating will be spaced with the recommended distance determined by the local venue and government.
  • We will be working with the local venue to serve meals in a way that minimizes risk and exposure.
