Emulate is actively seeking an Infrastructure Engineer III with strong experience in Linux systems, DevOps, and robotics infrastructure support. In this essential role, you’ll help design, maintain, and secure the infrastructure powering our Organ-on-Chip robotic platforms. You’ll contribute to creating robust update and monitoring systems, managing CI/CD workflows, and supporting the deployment and performance of our robotic software in the field. You are CURIOUS and will:

  • Continuously explore emerging technologies to improve Linux-based infrastructure in robotic systems.
  • Build tools to support field engineering and help streamline diagnostic workflows for deployed systems.
  • Seek novel approaches for secure, resilient software update delivery mechanisms.
  • Investigate monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks tailored to hardware-integrated systems.

You are RELENTLESS and will:

  • Help build and manage secure OTA update pipelines that are tailored for embedded Linux systems.
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD processes using Jenkins and Ansible to increase system reliability and speed of delivery.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve system issues across both development and deployment environments.
  • Automate routine system and infrastructure management tasks to reduce operational overhead.

You are ACCOUNTABLE and will:

  • Take ownership of infrastructure tasks and deliverables within multidisciplinary robotics projects.
  • Maintain secure, stable, and repeatable systems for deploying and monitoring robotic software.
  • Document and communicate infrastructure changes, best practices, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Ensure alignment with project timelines and team priorities by working closely with hardware and software teams.

You are ONE and will:

  • Actively participate in sprint planning, roadmap reviews, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Help drive team cohesion by supporting shared infrastructure goals and cross-team tooling.
  • Partner with developers and test engineers to ensure seamless software delivery and support.
  • Align with the broader vision of revolutionizing biotechnology through innovation and shared responsibility.

Desired Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or Linux system administration.
  • Strong Linux expertise (Ubuntu preferred), including scripting, systemd, and package management.
  • Familiarity with secure software update strategies for embedded or robotic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Experience in launching Kubernetes instances on AWS.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging stacks such as Prometheus, ELK, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or another scripting language used for automation and tooling.
  • Understanding of networking, system security, and remote troubleshooting practices.
  • Exposure to robotics environments or systems with hardware/software integration is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
